It’s a short stroll from the Boardwalk to this slice of the Italian old country. Tantalizing aromas of olive oil, garlic and simmering marinara sauces waft from the kitchen. The cozy dining room’s stained-glass windows, flowers, grapevines and tables covered in flowered oil cloth give Adolfo’s the feel of an Italian bistro. Try the local favorite, shrimp and scallop tarragon – jumbo shrimp and tender scallops sautéed in a sherry marinara sauce, lightly touched with tarragon and served on a bed of linguine. Another specialty, linguine with white clam sauce, features freshly shucked clams sautéed with garlic and Italian spices in olive oil, butter and white wine. Save room for dessert. Adolfo's has no high chairs and only two booster chairs for children.
