The name and decor might suggest Caribbean island food, but at Bahama Mamas, the feasting’s pure Maryland tradition: cracking freshly steamed hard crabs to get to the succulent morsels of meat. Regulars call Bahama Mamas the best crab house in town. The restaurant, unlike most others, prices crabs by weight instead of size. You can crack the crustaceans indoors or on a huge outdoor deck overlooking the bay. Bahama Mamas also offers a full menu featuring selections from the land and sea. Try the house drink specialties served in coconut shells.
